FUN TACO FACTS
- Tacos are rumored to have been invented between 1000 and 500 B.C.
- According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest flour taco weighed 1,654 pounds! It measured 35.9 feet long and 33.8 inches wide and was stuffed full of grilled steak and onion.

- The word taco originates from the Mexican Spanish word meaning a "plug" or "wad." It is also a word used for "light lunch."

- October 4 is National Taco Day. (EVERY day at Mexicali Blues is Taco Day!)
Tacos at Mexicali Blues
The best tacos at the Lake of the Ozarks come out of the kitchen at Mexicali Blues. They can be served with either a crispy corn shell or a soft flour shell wrapped around your choice of ground beef or chicken. For a small additional charge, you can substitute fajita chicken or steak instead.
They are available ala carte or as a part of a combo dinner served with rice and beans. The combo dinner allows you to mix and match your tacos with the following list of delicious menu items: enchilada, burrito, flauta, chili relleno, or tamale.
Our Specialty Tacos
We also offer 4 specialty tacos that are every bit as irresistible.
Carnita Tacos - Two slow-roasted pork tacos topped with lettuce, cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. These are served with black beans and rice.
Lobster Tacos - Two fried lobster tacos with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, and ranch dressing served with rice.
Shrimp or Grouper Tacos - Two sauteed shrimp or grouper tacos with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, and ranch dressing. If you prefer, they may be blackened. All are served with rice.
