The long wait is over! The best Mexican restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is back from our winter break this Thursday, February 8, 2018! We truly enjoyed our time off, but we're as anxious to get back to Mexicali Blues as you are. Here's a refresher about the delicious things we have in store for you.
Fresh Homemade Mexican Food
Here at our family-friendly Lake of the Ozarks restaurant, we always use the freshest and most savory ingredients in everything that comes out of our kitchen. We serve the finest Mexican cuisine in the Midwest, as well as a few American dishes prepared equally as delicious, for lunch and dinner every Tuesday-Sunday. You'll find the classics like tacos, chimichangas, burritos, and fajitas, as well as specialty items like our Lobster Tacos and the brilliantly stringy Queso Fundido.
Don't forget about that famous Mexicali Blues salsa too! It is loved by everyone that dines here so much, by popular demand we began bottling it. The robust taste of Mexico comes out with a combination of zesty flavors of tomato, peppers, onions, garlic, and more, plus all of the ingredients are natural, with no preservatives added. It comes in 3 flavors - Original, Salsa Verde, and "XXX" Hot - and is served with fresh, crispy chips to every table.
World Famous Margaritas
It's not just the amazing Mexican food, but also the best margaritas at the Lake of the Ozarks that keep our customers coming back again and again. Our simplest version, the original recipe house margarita, is a crowd-pleaser both frozen and on the rocks.
We don't stop there though! Our menu includes 13 out-of-this-world margarita recipes, plus 9 different frozen flavors (Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach, Banana, Mango, Pomegranate, Watermelon, Coconut, and our famous Dreamsicle.) The fully stocked bar is also capable of mixing up all your favorite cocktails in addition to margaritas, and we've got an extensive selection of bottled and draft beers.
Taco Tuesdays & Happy Hour
Perhaps the most missed thing during our winter break, according to customer comments, was our extremely popular Taco Tuesdays. Each week, every Tuesday, we serve up our delicious beef, chicken, or pork tacos for $1 each, all day long! You can really fill up with a deal like that, plus have plenty of cash left over for a few margaritas too!
Also happening every week is our wonderful Happy Hour. Each Tuesday-Friday from 4-6 pm, we offer special pricing on our beer and margaritas. Belly up to the bar (or have a seat in the restaurant) and take advantage of some great prices on some amazing drinks.
Mardi Gras Pub Crawl
We'll have a week to get back into the swing of things before we take part in the biggest party at the Lake of the Ozarks - the 2018 Mardi Gras Pub Crawl! This year it's happening on Saturday, February 17. Buses start running at 4 pm and will continue their trip around the route until 2:30 am to make sure everyone gets back to where they need to be. Wristbands are $10 each, and you can pick yours up right here at Mexicali Blues.
You can enjoy our full menu all day during pub crawl until 10 pm. After that, we'll have select appetizers available until midnight, just in case you get the late-night munchies. You'll need to keep your energy up so you can dance all night long. We've got Naked Cove Entertainment onsite to play all of your favorite party music during the event.
