Unique Items From the Mexicali Blues Menu at the Lake of the Ozarks
We are known by many as the best Mexican restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks because of the delicious Mexican food that we serve to the lake area every Tuesday-Saturday. Mexicali Blues uses only the freshest ingredients in our own special recipes to create homemade dishes that satisfy your hunger and leave you anxious to come back for more!
In addition to the traditional Mexican food that you're used to, we also have a few menu items that are a little more out of the ordinary. You most likely won't find these at other Mexican restaurants. If you do, we bet they won't have the extraordinary taste of our versions!
Queso Fundido
This isn't your everyday cheese dip. It's a local favorite that is as fun to eat as it is delicious! This is a smooth, stringy cheese dip that you might need a little help getting to let go of your chip so that you can put it into your mouth. It may take a little work to get a bite, but oh, so worth the effort when you do!
Mexican Fireballs
This delicious appetizer tastes great dipped in ranch dressing. We dice jalapenos and mix them with savory cheeses. Next, that combination is breaded and deep-fried. A tasty treat to pop in your mouth!
Mexican Egg Rolls
Egg Rolls are most often associated with Asian cuisine, but we've taken this favorite food and put our own Mexican twist on it. Flour tortillas are filled with chicken, cheese, black beans, red peppers, corn, and spinach to create an egg roll that will make you exclaim "Ole!" These are served with your choice of either cilantro ranch or raspberry jalapeno jelly.
Cancun Melt
You'll find this incredible creation on our lunch menu, served from 11:30 am-4:00 pm. First, we take a toasted English muffin. Next, we layer some amazing ingredients on top of that - guacamole, shrimp, crab, grilled onions, and peppers. Last, but certainly not least, it's all smothered in our savory cream sauce. This explosion of flavor is served with a side of rice or salad.
Lobster Tacos
Tacos are not an unusual item to find on a Mexican food menu, but most places don't fill them with lobster like we do! This creative taco has the lettuce and cheese you'd expect, but it also contains cilantro, ranch dressing, and fried lobster. If you're in the mood for seafood but lobster isn't your thing, we serve Shrimp Tacos and Grouper Tacos too.
Dreamsicle Margarita
We have a long list of margaritas on our drink menu, both frozen and on the rocks, in a wide variety of flavors. Among these is our unique Dreamsicle Margarita. It takes the flavors you love from the popular frozen treat - orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream - and turns them into a frozen drink that is as refreshing as the dessert with an added tequila kick!

This particular margarita combines two delicious frozen drink flavors, strawberry and mango, and swirls them to together to make a drink that looks beautiful and tastes amazing. The tye-dye effect is created when we float Blue Curacao in it. Almost too pretty to drink, but don't let that stop you!
