Which is Your Favorite Fajita Meat? Steak, Chicken, or Shrimp!

A very popular menu item at our Lake of the Ozarks Mexican restaurant is the fantastic fajita. Not only are the flavors of this amazing dish delicious, but most people find that building their own customized fajitas at the table adds some fun to the meal too. Perhaps the toughest part about ordering fajitas for dinner at Mexicali Blues is deciding which meat to order.

Fantastic Fajita Choices
In case you are unfamiliar with this particular dish, a fajita consists of grilled to order meat on a bed of onions and peppers served on a hot skillet. It comes with warm flour tortillas and a plate full of additional toppings that include rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and tomatoes. Once this all makes its way to the table, you are free to build your own fajita any way that you prefer.

Since classic fajitas were made from beef, steak is an obvious choice. The rich, bold flavors of our grilled steak meat make for an irresistible meal and the peppers and onions grilled along with it add to the deliciousness. Of course, as delicious as our fajita steak is, we don't just limit you to that one meat choice. It might be easier for you if we did because your other choices are equally as mouthwatering.

Grilled chicken is an excellent alternative to grilled steak. It picks up the flavors of the onions and peppers that are grilled with it very nicely.

We have quite a few seafood lovers in here in mid-Missouri, and this particular seafood grills up perfectly with peppers and onions to create an amazing variety of fajita.

***Have It All!
We offer you those three meat choices here at Mexicali Blues, but since we completely agree with the majority of our customers that choosing between them is a difficult choice, you don't have to decide! Our steak, chicken, and shrimp blend masterfully when you enjoy them together, so you can order a fajita skillet with all three, or opt for just the steak and chicken. The best of all worlds!
