The 3rd Friday in June every year is designated as Take Back Your Lunch Break Day. This year it falls on June 21 and our Lake of the Ozarks Mexican restaurant is the perfect place to observe the holiday!   Lunch at Mexicali Blues The full menu at Mexicali Blues is available from open until close every Tuesday-Saturday, but the items on our special lunch menu are only offered from 11:30 am-4:00 pm .  Wraps A grilled chipotle tortilla filled with your choice of meat plus lettuce, cheese, tomato, green onion, and cilantro ranch, served with either rice or fries. The Fantastic Fajita Choices at Mexicali Blues

One of the many popular food items on our Lake of the Ozarks Mexican restaurant menu is the fajita. Not only is this dish delicious, but it's fun too. We prepare the ingredients in our kitchen, but bring them out to you "deconstructed" so that you can build your own custom fajita in any way that you choose. It's like a DIY craft that you get to eat when your masterpiece is finished!  Fantastic Fajitas Fajitas at Mexicali Blues in Osage Beach come to the table with everything that you need. You will get one plate with all of your toppings; beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream. Mexicali Blues in Osage Beach is open every Tuesday-Saturday at 11:30 am. While we serve the best Mexican food at the Lake of the Ozarks all day long, there are a few specialty items that are only available for lunchtime between 11:30 am-4 pm.  What is Lunch?  Obviously, it's the meal you eat midday between breakfast and dinner, but we looked a little deeper to find out more about this particular feast. The word "lunch" is actually an abbreviation of the word "luncheon." It originally indicated a small snack that was eaten at any time of day. At some point in the 20th century, the meaning of lunch changed slightly to a small or mid-sized meal eaten at midday.  The main meal of the day during the Middle Ages happened late in the morning following several hours of work. During the 17th-18th centuries, this meal was gradually pushed back until later in the day, leaving a space in the middle of the day where people needed something to eat to tide them...
